Goal

Reduce the proportion of students who report that their academic performance was adversely affected by sleep in the past 12 months, from 24.4 percent to 18 percent. The National Sleep Foundation recommends adults ages 18-24 sleep 7 to 9 hours every night.

Why is sleep important for UC Merced Students?

What Are the H.E.R.O.E.S. Doing?

To promote healthy sleep, the H.E.R.O.E.S. have created the following programs:

  • Free earplugs and sleep kits are available in our office, KL 117

  • College Sleep Scan

Bright Success Center: Offers in-person and online time management workshops to help students make sleep a priority.
